Responsibilities:
- Speaks publicly at the request of
various agencies
- Promotes Doula C.A.R.E.
- Deals with general questions and
concerns
- Deals with matters that have been
escalated from Board Members and Doula C.A.R.E. members
- Ensures Board of Directors advised of
questions, concerns, requests that require Board approval
- Follows up to ensure timely response
to questions, concerns, requests from Board of Directors
- Liaises with various agencies
- Develops agenda for Board of
Directors meetings and AGM
Vice President
Responsibilities:
- Replaces President when called on to
do so
- Grievance Committee Chair
- Marketing and communications
Past President
Responsibilities:
- Advises Board of Directors on past
history of Doula C.A.R.E.
- Assists President when called upon to
do so
- Sits on grievance committee
- Monitors group emails/responds where
necessary
Consumer Relations
Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Liaises with other Board volunteers, Regional Representatives, membership, other professional organizations, media, vendors and members of the public
- Promotes Doula C.A.R.E. and works within its’ Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice and Statement of Goals
- Retrieves messages from Doula C.A.R.E. info email address and voicemail line in a timely manner
(usually every 48 hours)
- As inquiries dictate, in a timely manner, responds to all messages, directing callers & emailers to appropriate Doula C.A.R.E. website location, Board member, Regional Rep or organization; forwards messages to appropriate Doula C.A.R.E. Board member
- Maintains detailed records of all emails, voicemails & actions taken
- Provides status reports to Doula C.A.R.E. Board of Directors and Annual General Meeting
Treasurer
Responsibilities:
- Maintains financial records
- Balances and reconciles bank account
- Works with Membership Coordinator to
ensure all membership fees are received and paid in a timely
manner
- Ensures invoices/bills for Doula C.A.R.E.
are paid in a timely manner
- Provides detailed financial summary
for Board of Directors meetings and AGM
Regional
Representatives Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Monitors Regional groups
- Liaises with Regional Representatives
- Provides detailed reports at BOD
meetings
- Assists new regional groups in
formation
Secretary
Responsibilities:
- Maintains minutes from Board of
Directors meetings and AGM
- Distributes minutes
- Sets agenda for Board of Directors
meetings and AGM in consultation with the President
Volunteer
Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Receives requests from individuals &
various agencies for volunteer doula services
- Screens requests as per Volunteer
Guidelines
- Locates volunteer doulas to fulfil
requests
- Matches new doulas working towards
certification with clients requiring volunteer services
- Liases with volunteer doulas and
individuals or agencies requesting this service
- Maintains detailed records of
volunteer requests
- Provides detailed report at Board of
Directors meetings and AGM
- Promotes Doula C.A.R.E. to various health
care agencies
Membership
Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Oversees new member application
process and current member renewal application process
- Maintains directory of Doula C.A.R.E.
members
Newsletter
Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Receives submissions for quarterly
newsletter
- Compiles newsletter
- Distributes to Board of Directors for
approval/changes
- Arranges for distribution upon
receipt of final BOD approval
